One life to live

Plenty of new snow

It's been snowing all day and landscape is much prettier with the new snow.

The drain under our kitchen sink was clogged yesterday and today it started to feel like disaster. You don't remember value working drain before you loose it! (Nor electricity or running water either...). We used a hand-held drain snake to open the stubborn drain but drum auger jammed somewhere deep under.. uh, what a fight. After hard work the drain snake finally moved again and drain opened. It is awesome feeling to have working kitchen sink!

In the picture there is a grader in Pyynikintori, Tampere. Grader is the best tool to get icy roads into good shape. However, there is a bit of shortage of grades here, it's being said that those are dying out. Graders are expensive machines which aren't needed most of the year. Graders are build also here in Finland, they do 30 graders per year but approximately only 2 is sold to Finland per year. One grader costs about 300 000 euros. In Tampere there is currently 4 old graders, in the picture one of them.
