Yellow on yellow

This year for the first time ever, I've grown sunchokes. A friend gave me the tubers in the spring. I expected them to be a short, bush type of a plant. Instead they've grown to be 10 feet tall (John said they are called sunchokes, because they choke out the sun!). I've yet to look underground to see about the harvest...
