An otter at lunch

While walking along the canal today, I thought I'd spied a otter on the grass bank. "No, it's a dog," some other folk advised me. It wasn't a dog, it was an otter, and it was so preoccupied with its lunch, that it ignored us, even when we were feet away from it. I have never been that close to one before. Eventually, it was disturbed by a dog, not that it fled the scene; it was soon up on the canal bank again. There are two extra close ups. The consensus in the pub was that it was dining on an eel.
