The Alhambra and the Generalife

Our visit to the Alhambra wasn’t timed until 4:30 pm so we spent the earlier part of the day exploring the River Darro part of Granada with its monasteries and nunneries which provide cakes for tourists ‘dulce ‘ to earn money . We explored the archaeology museum newly reopened with a fantastic view of the Alhambra above it . We had a tasty lunch in one of the restaurant cafes bordering the river and returned there later to eat when it was dark with the Alhambra lit up against the sky .
Earlier we found a special breakfast cafe who served us coffee in a magnificent patio and wrote our names on the coffee.
The Alhambra was wonderful but quite demanding to see in a few hours in the heat . We would like to have lingered in the Generalife gardens . So many amazing sites again .
