The clouds left a big gap

And there is one spot on the deck, where (while remaining on the house side of the barrier they have erected to "protect" us) I can get a satisfactory view of the sunset through a gap in the scaffolding. 

The election to Council will be finished by midday tomorrow, so we are joining daughter J to wait for the results.

Tonight, and very soon now, S and I are going to the airport to collect daughter C who is returning from accompanying the Avondale College netball team who have achieved mightily at the national schools championship, ending up ranked 6th in the country. 

Then, after waiting a couple of hours, we will collect the boys on their return from a few days on the Gold Coast with the other grandparents.

A good thing tomorrow is Saturday.
