Reminiscing Friday...

Loders Primary School, nr Bridport, Dorset - 1954 to 2019!

Accompanied my mum on a trip down to Dorset today, to the village of Loders, where the Victorian village school was celebrating its 150th birthday. Mum did her first teaching practice here in 1954 (the top photo shows her with the entire school, all 28 of them!), and 65 years later she was reunited with three of her pupils! There was an awful lot of reminiscing going on today...

The only way to describe today’s weather was diabolically miserable, gales and torrential rain. Four hours on the road in such atrocious weather has finished me off so I’ll catch up with you all tomorrow, with more details of the day to accompany the inevitable collage...
