Woolly mammoth’s new home.

The awaited opening of the new Burke museum of natural history ...always a favorite of ours and grandchildren.   It’s so different..the mammoth and the mastodon were almost hidden in a dark corner before.  ( extra is the mastodon in the entry area far from this 3 rd floor..sorry .. no clue why it’s sideways)   Lots of open airy space. Not so cozy.    I wonder what the kids will think... I know the favorite old cafe will be missed, replaced by modern.  And where were all those dinosaurs they all played with? 
Just one of too many things today...Dr appointments for both of us and we also managed the flu shot along with a crowd at our clinic.  A trip to bookstore and library,   Whew . And momentarily out to meet long time friends for dinner who now live in Florida.      A full day.  But successful.   And beautiful out.  Not planning anything for tomorrow.
