Here they are!

The likely lads; Mk&H.
Mk came out especially from London, just to do the Simpson with us. And H. came over from Auckland. I'm so thrilled to have sons that want to come and join their Mum on a desert adventure.
We arrived in Mungerannie, half way up the Birdsville Track, and here Mk&H are, helping themselves to some different transport.

We drove further north and made our way out west to the flooded Warburton Crossing, even though we knew we couldn't cross it. We just wanted to see it - it was worth it too. The Birdsville Track had been flooded too, plus the Eyre Creek crossing on the Simpson, and we were lucky that it had all just gone down enough for our expedition.

There's a pic of Mk&H at the Warburton Crossing - check out the flies on Mk's back! He wore his flynet constantly. They loved him.
There's 2 images of our first camp in Extras, one sunset, one astro.
