You just know...

the tide is to high when you see a water snake swim over what should be your back door step. We have had a week of high water. Today it was 4 1/2 feet above normal. The highest since Hurricane Ernesto in 2006. This flooding was caused by 3 systems in the Atlantic. One developed into subtropical storm Melissa. We have another 4' tide expected tonight and then less each tide but not normal for a few days. Some neighbors have water in their homes. Ours is dry but sheds are soaked. Clean up begins as soon as the water recedes and we can really see what needs to be done.
