Japanese Gyoza

Lunch today was a plate of Japanese Gyoza to honour the Japan rugby team winning their World Cup match against Scotland.

The match was nearly cancelled due to the damage caused by Typhoon Haggis currently sweeping through the area but went ahead to the relief of all.

Either Japan or Scotland could have gone through to the next round today.
It was a bruising clash of bodies which saw Japan win and progress to the quarter finals. Regretfully Scotland had to say Sayonara to the World Cup and return home.

The Japan team are known as the Cherry Blossoms or Brave Blossoms and I can't help thinking the latter is a more appropriate name.

It was a fabulous game to watch with fierce commitment from both sides and a tribute to the game.
