BABY LOSS AWARENESS

Sad news started my day with the news that our dear friend Sally died last night. She was such a beautiful soul who was such a major figure in our church. She always had a smile and kind words. She had fought cancer for the last few months but eventually Heaven was ready to receive her.

Baby loss is a national focus this week and
#The Rev held a lovely service to support newly bereaved parents and older ones (one lady lost her baby over 17 years ago).
#we made a collage with the butterflies from the previous service
#and put new butterflies on the tree which stands in the chapel. These 2 are for my nephews. Although it is for baby loss.....I pray that baby Archie is singing with his big brother who died 2 years ago at 22 years old.
#and opportunity to light a candle and for parents to support each other.
After I had done a good vicar wife’s job of sorting out the refreshments we went to the Informal Service at my home church. It’s a new format...casual, chatty and with upbeat music plus cake!!!! The best bit was seeing Sally’s lovely husband at the service. It was nice to surround him with our church love.
