New York

Up early to see New York as we arrived at 5.30am.
Once we disembarked we made for the Brooklyn-Wall Street ferry, then a yellow cab to the hotel to drop off our cases and out into the city.
Today was the Columbus Day Parade, which is a public holiday. We weren’t aware of this till we started walking past St Patrick’s Cathedral on 5th Avenue and saw all the police and crowd control barriers, of course we had to watch the parade which was huge! We eventually left because we’d been standing for 2 hours and they were still parading!
We then walked back to the hotel via Grand Central Station to check in and before heading out to get something to eat and walk to Times Square and Broadway.
The collage shows the Rockerfeller centre and the ice rink just outside as well as some famous signage.
Added some extras of the parade a day later - I've had problems uploading photos to my iPad!
