Technological Enhancement

Last autumn, in hopes of deterring the birds from my apples, I hung old DVDs in the apple tree. The birds ignored them, but I liked the flashing colours and left them there. Now the tree is in bud again and each twig close to a DVD has blossoms and well advanced buds. The rest of the tree has just emerging buds as can be seen in the top lefthand corner.
