The menu

We had a really interesting day today. C is here to do some work at Tokyo university sand that started today when we (both) visited a primary school in Tokushima to learn how school lunches are organised. Pretty well seems to be the answer. Everyone eats the same thing, including staff, it's eaten in the classroom and the children are responsible for serving and clearing up. No photos unfortunately as they are prohibited in the school.

After that, we visited the first two shrines of a group of 88 which makes up a pilgrimage for Japanese Buddhists. When we arrived in Taramatsuzv we quickly realised we not in a tourist town; that's great but it did make the menus hard to understand. We got through and ordered Raman, some really good Korean fish pancakes and fried shitake mushrooms.
