At this time of year it is usually the magpies swooping but on our evening walk this  Red Wattle Bird (Anthochaera carunculata) clicks and clacks while dive bombing me first and then back over Astro!
Thankfully, unlike the 'maggies' who can be super aggressive, this dude just wants to say 'lookout'.
There must be babies nearby.
