Damson cheese

Our friends Tony and Heather let us pick a load of lovely ripe damsons, which have been sitting in the freezer waiting for processing.
Finally got around to starting on them and made ‘damson cheese’ which is just jam really but the pulp is sieved first to remove stones and skins. It makes a delicious product, really my favourite jam.
Plenty more fruit to use, I thought I might do some chutney although Rob doesn’t really like it!
