The Burnt Isles

We are on a road trip! Heading to Edinburgh for Friday to visit all our little lovelinesses there, but taking a few days to explore Argyll’s Secret Coast en route.

This is the view down to the Burnt Isles (the tiny little ones between the two larger land masses), where if you look very closely you can see port and starboard marker buoys. We usually sail this stretch of water around the top of the Isle of Bute and onward to Loch Fyne during the summer.

The Ards Man decided he’d like to explore a bit on the landward side, so here we are! Our hotel room has the most wonderful view onto the Kyles of Bute.

We’ve been up since 5am, so now it’s time for a wee cup of tea - and then something stronger. Slainté!
