Guto Nyth Bran

A photograph of the sculpture of Guto Nyth Bran in the town centre of Mountain Ash, Rhondda Valley (South Wales, UK) His real name is Griffith Morgan and Guto is the farm name he was from. An amazing runner, the Nos Galan Road race run at Midnight on New Years Eve is named after him.

The extra is his gravestone at LLanwonno Church. Born 1700 he died in 1737 after a race he won.
