Sally Mair - Loving life

Wash up

To the rectory this morning to meet someone quoting for some garden work. All successful so that's another box ticked hopefully.
Picked up Ali then we visited Dobbies in Broxburn this morning to pick up some plants for the fish tank. I've always liked the wash hand basins they've had here, but sadly there seem to be fewer of the original coloured flower bowls left. Still at least they are being replaced with something similar.
We went on to have lunch at Mannerstons near Bo'ness. The food is always delicious and it's locally sourced wherever possible. The staff must be very well treated too because they are always very friendly and helpful, hopefully happy in their work too.
This afternoon I did some more prep for Saturday's sale. Another trip to the rectory to reset the boiler then down to drop Ali at her car so she could take it home.
I finished off my batch of bramble and apple jelly this evening. Yummy stuff.
