Close

I was at a working group thingy today in Bread Street. I walked from it round the back of the castle to the top of the Royal Mile, down past St Giles, dutifully spat on the Heart of Midlothian, and on down Anchor Close to Waverley to catch my train.

In this iconic part of Edinburgh you could literally close your eyes, take random snaps and half of them would look great. I took this photo on my phone as I was descending Anchor Close. I liked the way the colour and texture of the fern went with the colour and texture of the soggy stone wall it was growing out of in the light from the lamp on the opposite wall some five feet away.
