We Dodged a Bullet

Dear Diary,

A strong Nor'easter struck southern New England yesterday with winds nearing 90 mph, that's hurricane force!  It knocked out power and downed trees across the region but my little corner of Maine was spared the brunt of the storm.  We had torrential rain and a little wind but my power stayed on, which is rather a small miracle.  The worst for me was a few small branches and lots of leaves down in the yard.  Here is a small sampling of said leaves on my back steps.  I feel very lucky this morning.
