Heavy clouds

She loved clouds. Loved their constantly-changing baroque structures. But she couldn’t take them seriously. They were light, frothy, insubstantial. And then she stumbled across the fact that, far from being weightless, clouds are heavy. The average cumulus cloud weighs five hundred thousand kilograms.

She still loves clouds but now she respects them as well.
