Not Tulips

I think these look like tulips, but in actual fact they are the tiny flower head of the onion and the whole thing no bigger than my thumb nail.
Used my 50mm wide open with the extension tubes. 

I spent the afternoon with my friends - plans were to meander around the Temuka Domain, but the weather turned really cold so that was abandoned instead doing flower photography indoors.  A lovely afternoon was had.
