Lanterns.....

A birthday treat for my other half today. We had tickets to see Kate Rusby in Manchester. She was performing there, at Manchester Central, as part of the Manchester Folk Festival. She has the most amazing voice, and is always worth seeing live.
 
Her support act were an all female bluegrass ensemble called Midnight Skyracer who were brilliant too.

We also went for an Italian meal in our favourite restaurant in the area - Gio.

When we went to collect our tickets from Home (a venue which combines the old Library Theatre Company and the Cornerhouse Cinema), the trees were dressed in Halloween lanterns. Not a bad option for a quick phone blip.
