Bramblings

I went through to Finstown hoping to photograph a flock of 17 waxwings reported there- but, obviously, no luck. I did hear one briefly as I walked up to the trees where they'd been seen but it was probably waxwing for 'see ya'. There were fieldfares, redwings and a few of these brambling- the 'northern analogue of the chaffinch', as the books say.
