Where the sun doesn't shine

A bit of a damp and dark one today.  I had to go and see the GP – he looked surprised.  He beckoned me in the waiting room wearing a stethoscope round his neck.  I was somewhat nonplussed in his consulting room when he showed me a further stethoscope in a mahogany, silk lined, box.  He explained it was his pet.  I didn’t doubt it.  He made no mention of ring-tailed lemurs.  But there again, de nos jours, very few do.

I now have a prescription for Julia’s nut roast.
