The House of the Binns

Another day, another stately home.
This old house has been in the Dalyell (pronounced “Dee-ell”) family since the 17th century. It was home to the old Royalist General Tam of the Covenanter days and, much more recently, the late parliamentarian and Father of the House, Sir Tam Dalyell.
We had a great stroll around the parkland and it stayed dry buy was very breezy, especially up on the hill with its views to Fife in the north and the Pentland hills to the south.
