Habitat Destruction

My lunchtime wildlife walks are no more. This 'scrubland' was a regular haunt for me. It sheltered nesting Skylarks and Meadow Pipits; was a hunting ground for Kestrels; an arena for bounding Stoats. But no more.

It had been earmarked for development for a while, but things are now moving. Depressingly.
