Lasting legacies

Today our family & friends gathered together to say farewell to and celebrate the life of my mother-in-law who had recently passed away, peacefully, after a long illness.

I'm not religious but could see both the comfort (and strength) that their shared faith provided to my father-in-law.

I was also struck by the line in one of the hymns sung - interpreted by love - a good way to at least try and an act.

My blip is of a table mat my mother-in-law made. However the truly lasting legacy will be the lives she shaped, including her five children and eleven grandchildren.
