Behind the Bars

Yesterday's blip was from the front of the Parliament. When I was taking it I wondered about what was behind the long run of windows at the centre of the first floor which have the "wooden bar" feature in front if them.

I thought it would be the back of the debating chamber and it is , but it is also the passage leading from the "black and white " lobby and the small meeting room which is used by members when the chamber is sitting.

This is the view from that room just before the vote tonight , looking towards Arthur's Seat. The light is fading and rain is falling , creating some fascinating effects.
