I got that wrong didn't I Jonty?

Jonty stood on the landing, did some low growling to get my attention and when I looked at him he perked up. His tail started to wag and I thought "He wants to play". So, I got up and threw the little blue ball for him to fetch, not interested. I threw one of his little doggy babies, not interested.
He'd already had his dentastix so it wasn't that, I got him some fresh water, it wasn't that.
I lay, sitting up, on my bed and patted the bed. He jumped up and snuggled up to me.
That's what he wanted, just a cuddle and a stroke. I took advantage of it though and used a cotton ball to dry his eyes.
