a fall for a fall in fall

Henny Penny took me to Sitting Lady Falls to get my mind off the pain of yesterday's fall.  It's beautiful this time of year with the rains just beginning (albeit late) and the shrooms popping up like, um... a cliche.

Of all the beautiful things, Henny Penny chose this to represent the day because mushrooms are transitory.  They change in an hour and decay before they have finished ripening.

Extra photo, my first attempt at an ND filter and long exposure with tripod.  Not great, but a lot of learning happened today.  Personally, I don't like the smooth water look that is so popular, but I wanted to learn how to do it so I can learn how not to.  If that makes any sense.
