Sunbeams

Autumn colour

E and I drove to Otter Nurseries this morning in Devon to buy some shrubs and have a day out.  We also spent a lot of time next door at Joshua's where they have a store full of deli products and nice soaps and other gifts as well as a cafe.  E's car indicated on the dashboard that her tyre/s had low pressure.  We looked at them and decided to take the risk and drive home without seeking out a garage on the way.  No dramas!

The Pyracantha belongs to the Rose family and one can eat the insipid pulp of the berries apparently, although the pips are mildly poisonous as apple pips are.

Extra photo:  Chrysanthemums grown in a pot as they do in France apparently.  There must be a lot of clipping to get them to flower like that.
