75 years of freedom

Today's the day our village, the villages near and the town of Bergen op Zoom commemorate their liberation from the Nazi occupiers by the Allies, more specifically in this case the Canadians, 75 years ago. It was a special celebration and commemoration, with some of the remaining veterans as guests of honour and a big parade of war time vehicles. There will be more events tonight and tomorrow at the war cemeteries, commemorating and honouring the brave soldiers who died for that freedom. We will never forget !
