Moon

A seven metre diameter internally lit sculpture hanging in the nave of Gloucester Cathedral is impressive as the queues to get in will verify.  

At a scale of 1:500,000  each centimetre of the sculpture represents 5km of the moon's surface. They say, 'Depending on where the art work is presented, its meaning and interpretation will shift.'  By Luke Jerram it 's schedule has included this year France, Australia, Canada, Korea and Ireland to name but a few countries. Hanging there beautifully lit amongst the huge Norman pillars was quite a sight.
