Paradise Ducks

This duck family may well be in paradise living in this pond on a sunny spring day.  The paradise shelduck is our only shelduck.  The female  has the pure white head.  The pairs stay together for life and return to the same nesting area year after year.  I had to put the ducklings in because they are so cute and  were doing lots of diving.
The semi final in the World Cup Rugby was won convincingly by England.  The forester is putting himself through torment by watching it again this afternoon.  I don't know why.  Why our team didn't rise to the occasion will be debated in the media.  England were magnificent in all parts of the game.  You don't hear a New Zealander say that often :-)
