Welcome change

The sun has shone from a cloudless blue sky all day. We went for a rather muddy walk across the meadows, choosing our route to avoid what we knew would be the worst bits. The river is running fairly high but obviously hasn't overflowed and it's gone down overnight.
My blip shows part of what used to be a very pleasant short riverside walk, now fenced off to prevent drowning. The water here is normally about twelve inches deep, although much deeper by the weir which is about fifty yards upstream.
