Boats and Bridges

This morning we were privileged to be invited to the Blessing ceremony in South Queensferry of a baby who is in the process of being adopted by 2 of our young friends.

We were then heading South to visit our family in Stratford on Avon but stopping off for the night near Preston where we now are.

I couldn’t miss the chance of wandering down to the harbour to get a view of the 3 bridges crossing the river Forth - the Rail Bridge on the right, the Forth Road Bridge nearest on the left with the much newer Queensferry crossing beyond it and not so obvious in this shot.

I put in the extra as I liked the Jubilee Clock with the Rail Bridge beyond it - construction of the bridge began 5 years before Queen Victoria’s Golden Jubilee but it wasn’t opened till 3 years after the celebration that the clock commemorates.

Now looking forward to heading down the M6 tomorrow to see Cameron and little Poppy who celebrates her 2nd birthday on Wednesday.
