He's in there Somewhere!

29 days old
I am late with this blip because yesterday was moving day and, from the off, Euan was not going to cooperate.  Everyone tried to coax him off to sleep, Grandad Tony tried wearing him for a while but we finally had to admit defeat and, still protesting, he was wrapped up, fastened in to his stroller and Granny Wendy took him off for an hour or so along the Harborwalk.  Thankfully, he fell asleep as soon as we got out of the apartment lift so I managed to evade the last bits of packing and taking things down to the U Haul by having a lovely walk in the Fall sunshine.

Just in case he awoke early, I decided to head back and circumnavigated the Community Sports Fields several times, enjoying watching the Toddler Soccer Club and the girls from the High School playing a softball match.  I had Becky's phone with me and it has a tracking device so they could 'see me' going round and around and around!

Then it was in to the U Haul and the car with two protesting cats and a grumbling infant (Euan is now officially an infant as opposed to a newborn) and we headed north to Salem.  We were a bit concerned that the first Halloween weekend would bring out all the witches and zombies out on to the highway but it wasn't too bad, just the usual percentage of rubbish drivers and lane swappers.

Then began the task of unloading boxes and boxes and I set about organising the kitchen so that when my brother Rog and sister in law Anne arrived to help in the afternoon, we had somewhere to eat and make cuppas.  It was great to see them.  They have lived in a suburb of Boston over twenty years now and we see them only infrequently.  Anne took Euan off for a walk in the stroller and Rog and Rob went back to Charlestown for the remainder of the stuff, whilst Tony set about erecting beds and Euan's nursery furniture.  We were well and truly shattered by the time we got to bed, but a successful day and we are now in the peace and quiet of the neighbourhood, with rabbits in the garden. Wonder what Becky will do when she starts planting her vegetables??
