Ballooniverse

An installation in the stairwell of our local Museum of Art and History, created by Korean artist HongSeok Ko (Mr. Goh). 

We are among the lucky ones who have not lost power during "the historic weather event" and terrible fires in northern California. The winds are strong and gusty, even here on the coast, and there is a blackout beginning at the corner of our street; the grids don't seem to follow a pattern I can figure out. I'm just grateful we aren't in the dark. Friends further north have mandatory evacuation notices, highways are jammed, there is an undercurrent of confusion and unsettledness everywhere.
