Sidewalk Cooper's Hawk

We have had many starlings the past few weeks because I had put out a couple of suet balls for the woodpeckers. The starlings - at least a dozen or more - had been attracted to the suet and feeders but this was not a good day for one of the starlings as a Cooper's Hawk found one of them. I could hardly believe my eyes when I looked out our front window, there was nothing I could do for the starling as the hawk stood on it, the starling was not moving and long gone. Part of Nature's circle of life... Not long after the hawk flew away with the starling in its talons flying south and towards the woods. * I apologize if the image is too graphic for some, I did try to crop it the best I could.
