Mithreaum

Underneath Bloomberg’s London office are the ruins of a Roman mithraeum, a temple dedicated to the god Mithras. The ruins were originally found in 1954 and moved to a safe location. More than 50 years years later and they are back roughly where they were found. visitors can take a free tour every 20 minutes and there is some excellent information about the site. I was particularly impressed with the lighting which gives an optical illusion of the volume that would have once stood there. I recommend a visit.
