Rievaulx Abbey

We went to Runswick Bay first for a beach stroll then to Helmsley Walled Garden for lunch ending up at our favourite Rievaulx Abbey this afternoon .The light was stunning but the late afternoon dank ness soon struck . We always enjoy listening to the headset commentary as we wander round . There’s a beautiful stillness in the valley .
