I love this wood.

Oil it, wax it or varnish it - it shines out warmth. Sculpt it with a gouge - it cuts true. Steam bend it & it stays bent!

The box of this clock was made in the late 19th century & my mother inherited it in the 1970's from Grannie the Great. She replaced the movement with rather a cheap job. I inherited it in1998 & am amazed at how well it tells the time...

If I remember to wind it up!
