Across the River

It is night over the Chao Phraya River. Standing on the left bank at a ferry landing, the view looks across over Santa Cruz Church on the Thonburi side of Bangkok.
Thonburi was the Siamese capital after the fall of Ayutthaya. A colony of Portuguese settlers was granted a piece of land where they built Santa Cruz Church, the second oldest Portuguese Church in town.
