A Grand Event

Annie had a very early start with a flight to Switzerland where she's spending a few days with friends. She was there so early she could do a full working day in Switzerland - the joy of remote working.

I followed not far behind with an early drive into London parking in Holborn.

After a regular working day, this evening I was the "event photographer" for a charity gala arranged by work to recognise some colleagues for their work in supporting their local community and fundraising for our charity of the year, Mental Health UK. Halloween themed, it was a great evening in the lavish De Vere Grand Connaught Rooms and some speeches and recognition awards were followed by a live band.

The internal team had worked their magic together with the venue putting the event together on a skeleton budget and everyone looked to be enjoying it. I managed to get a few shots of the main room before the 300+ guests arrived. Hopefully I got all the prize giving shots OK and a few more capturing the atmosphere of the event, I haven't really looked to hard at the photos yet.
