Slammer

A delightful autumn day and as I had business to attend to up the Old Town, I made the most of it, nipping out when the opportunity arose, taking in our tourist and student thronged streets before strolling round Greyfriars. I paused awhile outside the Covenanters’ Prison. Though actually, it was nothing like that back then, being a large enclosure running across the existing streets. Still, somewhat symbolic.
So, after the business was firmly concluded, arrived back in time to change to go out and see art. I was even pressed into gentlemen’s moleskin slacks.
Then a short hop (literally, the SK’s right knee giving her immense gyp) to Noto, a new sister restaurant to Aizle which has been getting rave reviews from foodies. Verdict? It’s alright. No chips available as a side though. That’s not right.
