Hanner ffordd i Bumdrak ~ Halfway to Bumdrak

(Paro -> Bumdrak)

————— ————— ————— ————— ————— ————— —————

Heddiw gwnaethon ni dringo o Paro (tua 2,200m) i Bumdrak (tua 3,700m). Roedd y dirwedd yn ddiddorol.  Roedd llawer o goed wedi cael eu llosgi ac roedd llwyni bach yn tyfu yn eu lle. Roedd e'n daith cerdded hir ac roeddwn ni'n hapus y roedden ni wedi bod yn hyfforddi ychydig trwy redeg. Roedd y daith cerdded yn chwe awr a hanner - ond gwnaethon ni stopio hanner ffordd i fwyta.. Roedd y criw yn gweithio gwyrthiau gyda'r coginio mewn amgylchiadau anodd.

Roedden ni wedi blino pan gyrhaeddon ni ar y wersyllfa.  Roedd y criw wedi rhoi pebyll i fyny a gwnaethon nhw adeiladu tân - croesawi iawn fel roedd y tymheredd yn disgyn.

Roedden ni wedi cael pryd da iawn - fel arfer - cyn mynd i'r gwely.  Wnes i ddim yn cysgu  in dda iawn oherwydd bod fyn mhen a fy coesau boenus. Uchder, o bosib

Today we climbed from Paro (about 2,200m) to Bumdrak (about 3,700m). The landscape was interesting. Many trees had been burnt and were replaced by small shrubs. It was a long walk and we were happy we had been training a bit by running. The walk was six and a half hours - but we stopped half way to eat along.. The crew worked miracles with the cooking in difficult circumstances.

We were tired when we arrived at the campsite. The crew had put up tents and built a fire - very welcome as the temperature dropped.

We had a really good meal - as usual - before going to bed. I didn't sleep very well because my head and legs were aching. Altitude, possibly
