Californian poppy

Rainy start to the day, it had stopped by 10 but dull all day.  Went out with a friend this morning, some shopping and a coffee.  Later I went for a walk along the seafront with S, came home and made some celery soup and a chicken meal.  Another friend popped in for a while this evening.
I've included some extras of our walk along the seafront.  We were amused by a gull that was sitting on a post in the breakwater, the post was only just above the water and every time a wave came along it had to fly up and land back again!  It should have moved back a bit and would have stayed dry
