Late blip. In Transit.

8.00pm. Gloucester Services North M5.
Torrential rain.
Dinner before setting off on the rest of the 1 hour and 20 minute drive home.
Day spent with the family after an absolutely horrendous journey there today, as the M42 was closed between Birmingham and Tamworth going North, so our access junction for the Southbound route was also shut and all the surrounding routes were at a standstill. We ended up going partway down the M6 to come back via a circular route to meet the M42 further south as another incident (both serious) had closed lanes on that side as well.
It took just over 3 hours to get to Bristol.
But we were safe.
Fun in the park this afternoon with myself, hubby and son taking it in turns to push the 3 shrieking children on the whatsamacallit (my word!) to cries of “Higher! Higher! Push us faster and faster!” All with the soft-toy cat stuffed between the webbing as our granddaughter insisted. Our 7 month old other granddaughter asleep in her large pushchair completely oblivious to all the noise.
Just finishing another coffee and a piece of cake to fortify is before we leave shortly.
So no time to catch up with your blips tonight.
